Junior Screenings/Senior Scholarships
Every year the Alabama Educational Theatre Association provides the opportunity for Alabama Thespians in their junior or senior year of high school to audition for a diverse selection of colleges and universities.  These auditions are for students intending to major in theatre at the post-secondary level.
In addition, ALEdTA offers college scholarships to deserving Alabama Thespians.  These scholarships require an audition and/or portfolio review and an interview and are for high school seniors who intend to major in theatre, film, broadcasting, dance, musical theatre or technical theatre.
More information, and applications, are available at the links below.  For additional information, please contact the Alabama Chapter Director.

College/University Information:  talent auditions, vendor/display information.

At every Alabama State Thespian Festival, ALEdTA welcomes colleges and universities to participate in auditions for high school juniors in our state.  While sitting in on auditions, college representatives will see an array of high school juniors.  In addition, college representatives are invited to attend our Thespian Scholarship auditions.  This exposes the college representatives to our high school seniors, as well.

We also provide a display table in the festival lobby.  This table may be used for interviews, educational materials and displays that highlight the school’s theatre programs.  This table may be set up at any time the day prior to the festival or during the festival itself.  We encourage schools to leave their displays up throughout the second day of the festival, as well.
If you would like more information, or would like to reserve your school’s spot, please contact the Alabama Chapter Director at cvoight@randolphschool.net.

We hope you can join us; we’d love to have you!
